General Summary:
The Product Strategy Manager will be responsible for helping define Unica’s product strategy across our solutions. This includes working closely with product management and product marketing to help size the markets for both existing and adjacent product categories, prioritize geographic expansion of product lines, and drive cross-product strategy initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Define Unica’s cross-product strategy and roadmap by understanding our customers, prospects, partners, competitors, and market dynamics
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis for Unica solutions - including existing, adjacent, and emerging markets. Synthesize and make recommendations to senior management based on findings.
• Assess market opportunity - including market size and growth by market segment, company size, geography, industry, and deployment model (on premise versus on demand).
• Work with the product management team during the development cycle to ensure products are being developed in line with the strategy and expectations
• Work with the product marketing team during go-to-market to ensure products are being positioned and rolled-out in line with the strategy and expectations
• Be an expert across our products, markets, customers, and competition
• Define objectives, timeline and milestones, resource requirements, and roles and responsibilities for projects.
• Develop relationships, manage expectations and communicate on a formal and informal basis with senior executives and managers across the organization.
Job Specifications:
Knowledge
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Bachelors Degree required. MBA preferred.
• Experience in management consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.), industry analyst (Forrester, Gartner, etc) or high-tech product marketing / management preferred.
Skills
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
• Strong project management skills preferred.
• Advanced usage of MS Office programs. Excellent Excel model-building skills. Advanced PowerPoint skills.
Abilities
• Proven ability to work in fast-pace environment
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Superior oral and written communication, leadership and team skills.
